MAS adds new flight to Brunei

By P. Marilyn

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will be introducing its 3rd additional frequency into Bandar Seri Begawan, operating every Wednesday, as an addition to its existing twice-weekly services on Mondays and Fridays between Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), BSB and Kota Kinabalu.

This was announced by Yuzer Yusoff, the Area Manager Brunei for MAS, at a press conference held yesterday in the capital. The Boeing B737-400 aircraft, with a capacity of 128 economy class and 16 business class seats, will be used for the newly introduced additional frequency.

"We are very excited with this additional frequency, as it offers our valued customers more options, especially those travelling for business reasons between KL, KK and Brunei."

In conjunction with this, MAS is also offering a promotional fare of only $118 for a return flight between BSB and KL. The current promotional fares of $65 and $165 to KK and KL respectively will still continue to be offered for Monday and Friday services until the end of November.

The new service is timely with the six-week long Malaysia Mega Sale as well as the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 that should appeal to travellers who fancy a short vacation in KL.

Bookings could be made through any travel agents appointed by MAS or through its Internet booking facility at www.malaysiaairlines.com starting July 10.
