Three sites have been declared as national parks and are being developed as major eco-tourism sites.

They are Batang Duri Park, Bukit Patoi National Park and Taman Mini Belalong in Temburong.

Taman Mini Belalong, set up in 1995, is half a mile from Bangar town. It's on the way to Batu Apoi and is between the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (Bangar Camp) and Dewan Belalong.

Taman Mini Belalong has a visitor centre which consits of the park office and an information centre, a water pond, shelter huts, walkways and footpaths for visitors and tourists to watch the natural environment.

The Taman Mini Belalong is the venue for major occasions in Temburong like His Majesty's birthday celebration, National Day events, Borneo Ethnic Sposts Festival and others.

Hj Omar, a Temburong resident, suggested that to promote Taman Mini Belalong, a showcase of traditional houses from the Malay Kedayan, Lun Bawang, Iban and Chinese communities should be constructed.

A canteen for eating and drinking and souvenir shops should be made available, he said.
