By Rosli Abidin Yahya

Fun-filled activities comprising a roadshow, a bazaar and a family fun day will be held from Sept 8 to 10 at the Jerudong Park & Country Club Playground in Jerudong.

The activities were supposed to be organised from Sept 1 to Sept 3. However, the dance battle and the semi-finals and finals of the Battle of the Bands have been postponed to another date.

Organiser Kombinasi Loyal Alliance Sdn Bhd said the hadrah contest comprising 30 teams will take place at the JPCC Playground Phase 1 on Friday afternoon (Sept 8).

Also taking place on Friday afternoon (Sept 8) until Sunday evening (Sept 10) at the JPCC Playground Phase 1 are games like eating hanging fruits, soccer kick, magic show, wheel-of-fortune, basketball matches, elephant ball, bowling, futsal and street soccer, roller blade, ghost house, charity ride and tug-of-war.

A mini-exhibition and a video show will also be organised at the same venue from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening.

On Sunday (Sept 10), more games will be organised such as treasure hunt, family extreme and picture hunt.

Organised in conjunction with His Majesty's 60th birthday celebration, the objective is to promote a healthy and dynamic lifestyle.

"In line with its theme, the contest is meant to create awareness on preserving the fragile natural environment as well as on the need for establishing a healthier family institution in the process of nation-building," said the organiser.

Ten per cent from the proceeds will be donated to the Society for the Management of Autism Related Issues in Training, Education and Resources (Smarter).
