'Everyday low fares' by MAS on Asean, selected routes


SUBANG JAYA: Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Wednesday launched its "Everyday Low Fares" campaign to its Asean destinations, except Rangoon, Myanmar and selected routes between Malaysia and China.

Its executive director/chief financial officer, Tengku Datuk Azmil Zahruddin, said MAS may also extend the offer to more international destinations when and if the opportunities arose.

"It is possible," he told reporters when asked if the offer would be extended to international destinations of which the first would be Kota Kinabalu-Hong Kong/Guangzhou.

He said currently the load factor for KL-China and Europe routes was satisfactory and did not warrant MAS to offer the deal in the sectors.

Azmil said the campaign was expected to contribute positively to MAS revenue and profit.
